Shamanic White Rawhide Rattle with Black top Buckskin Spiral and white buckskin braid over Maple Wood Handle

Rattles have been used for hundreds of years to achieve an altered state of mind, for shamanic journeying, healing ceremonies, and Native American ceremonies.

I hand stitched this rattle made with elk rawhide then added black buckskin spiral wrapped around a maple wood handle. White fringe was also added. Traditional corn top was placed inside this rattle to create a wonderful resonant sound.
