Vintage Autumn/early Winter landscape oil painting by Carter, thick gilded wooden frame. Style is Late Romantic. A twilight sunset depicted behind the edge of an icy lake surrounded by Northern scrub brush. ~Measurements *17.5”L *14.25”H *2.25” D *Canvas folded to fit frame *Wear along top of painting, where it meets frame. Also, to bottom corners (wax?) *BUT, … most MYSTERIOUS is the fact the original canvas has been covered (Italian FRUTTA ~fruit)!! **See pic of label on back of painting. Wasn't a First Edition of The Dec. of Independence hidden this way?!? ;) *Also, it looks as though a partial color print was glued to R back edge of canvas (see pics) ***** IMPORTANT ~ shipping cost is just an initial guesstimate and MAY have to be adjusted after destination/dimensional weight of properly packed item is known!!! *Check out the rest of top my ‘shop' ….
