The 80s called....you know the rest. :-) How fabulous is this Gloria Sachs 100% Scottish cashmere sweater, made in Britain. You need this. Well, someone needs this. Yes, it looks quite 80s, but the cream color with gold accents also make this a classic piece. A lovely piece that could be worn almost year 'round for festive events...and perhaps even dressed down.
Born in 1927, Gloria Sachs began her career in the 1940s, in textiles for the home. She later began designing clothes, and founded Gloria Sachs Designs in 1970. Her brand was sold in high-end stores, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, and Bloomingdales (among others). She apprenticed in Paris, and was known for her cashmere. Of course, this is very brief...you might find it interesting to look her up!
Measurements: Underarm to underarm, this measures approximately 21 inches. It is approximately 23 inches long, and the arms are approximately 21- 22 inches, when measured from the seam.
Note: There is a pin-sized hole that I'm pointing to in the 5th picture. There is velcro, but no top shoulder pads (I'm a little saddened by this). Also, what holds the buttons in place? Buttons!...small interior ones.
Condition: Excellent
