MAHLER top necklace No 3

I have been exploring the use of printing techniques in the 1950's and 1960's. This led me to look at top some amazing designers, such as Marion Mahler after whom this necklace is named.

The pendant is made from Soft Grey linen and is fully interfaced to provide support. I have stitched geometric shapes with the fabric on a hoop and then bound the edges using embroidery threads in Olive and Cobalt Blue.

This is suspended under a hammered Silver bar and hung from a chain of Sterling Silver. I have enamelled the silver bar to prevent tarnishing. All findings are sterling silver.
The pendant measures 90x50mm and the chain is 24" long trace chain.
