The Tree top

Warli is a tribe in North Sahyadri Mountain Range in Maharashtra-India, known for their symbolic motif paintings. This is a Tree painting, Warli style. The brick red background replicates the wall colors from their olden rural houses built with mud or brick, over which are painted the motifs using white rice paste. The motifs depict myths and top tales and give a philosophic message.
