when the sleeping world
is overtaken with dreams,
twelve daughters changed
into flowers.

There is a ring around the moon
singing to us
very quietly,
that secrets are
abloom
in the earth
below our feet."


The text is inspired by a fragmented story I wrote one sleepless morning a few years prior, "All Ghosts Are Women". Original materials include watercolor paper and paint, vintage garden journals, tin foil, wallpaper, sequins, cinnamon, nutmeg, blood, pixie dust.
