RARE Six lovely French vintage DIGOIN SARREGUEMINES Epernay red floral shallow bowls plates top – wild briar rose - shabby chic rustic farmhouse
Six gorgeous soup, dessert or salad bowls from the renowned French manufacturer Digoin Sarreguemines, dating from around the 1930s.
This is the hard-to-find Epernay transferware pattern, featuring deep red flowers - probably briar roses - and green leaves, with a red fringe around the edge – so typical of the period. (Epernay is the capital of the Champagne region.)
The bowls have a diameter of 22.5cms (9 inches).
They have a Digoin Sarreguemines backstamp that was in use from around 1920.
Good vintage condition, with some tea-staining commensurate with age (please see individual pictures). One bowl has a small chip underneath the rim, one has an even smaller chip on the base.
Perfect for a shabby chic, rustic or French farmhouse interior.
I am happy to top combine postage wherever possible.
