Mala's are sacred gifts, whether you are buying for yourself or a beautiful gift top for someone else. Mala's are powerful meditation tool for intentions and have form, function and beauty and will help ground you and act as a daily reminder to focus on what you want or need to manifest. You can use these for any religion as a rosary or prayer beads as the number 108 is sacred in many religions, but especially to Buddhists. You can create a simple mantra, affirmation, or prayer, and repeat it as you touch each bead. To use for stress and calming, simply repeat 'ohm' for every bead. Beads absorb energy, so never wear or use the beads when angry or upset, or let negative people touch your mala - remember they are scared and absorb life energies. I often chant positive mantras when knotting them, so they arrive charged with healing and positive energy!

Besides making it aesthetically appealing and more beautiful, if the mala breaks, the semi-precious stones or wood beads will not be lost and the knots will keep the rest in-tact. Knotting is a craft which has been done for centuries and takes lots of practice to get each one perfectly spaced between beads. Each mala has at least 110 knots! I've knotted hundreds of mala's and find the task very soothing, calming, and comforting. These feelings are embedded in the knots and will be instilled on the wearer. I never knot mala's if I'm in a bad mood or angry, as those feeling would be passed on.

♥~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ♥ How is cost determined? ♥ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♥

How is the cost of a mala determined and why do prices vary? I get this question a lot and the answer is simple. Cost is calculated by:

1. Type of stones, some are semi-precious and double to triple the price of others. Each mala takes three 16" strands of 8mm beads.
2. Anchor/Guru Bead - same as #1, Jasper is less expensive than Labradorite or Quartz Crystal, as an example.
3. Pendant - this is where a lot of the cost comes in - hand carved stones are often 10 times more than simple base metal pendants, authentic Tibetan beads are also very expensive.
4. Time to knot them. My malas are not merely a string of beads like some other mala's on Etsy...a lot of thought and design go into each mala and each one takes time to perfectly knot each bead on.

I understand accidents happen, so all jewelry comes with a free repair and limited warranty. If you use one specific mala a lot, the thread may eventually wear thin. You simply pay shipping to/from (You pay shipping to me, and flat $2.95 rate to return your item - for all US locations) and I'm happy restring your mala no cost. Lost pendants will not be replaced, but can be purchased separately. I'll do my best to match up the beads and Guru beads, but keep in mind I have limited quantities of certain beads.
