Midsommar Oil top Painting

Warm evenings in the height of the summer months, when the sun has set behind the trees but still casts its twilight hues over the landscape, and where deep in the woods it is already black as night. This piece is a loose study based on a favorite Carl Larsson oil painting of Little Red Riding Hood. I used it as inspiration while vying to capture the essence of just such a midsummer evening.
