Top Star Poinsettia

I love painting bright reds, and this poinsettia gave me the opportunity to use all shades of red.
Christmas is the time to see poinsettias in the UK, and what a splendid sight they are during the short December days when there are few top flowers around.
This oil painting is on a square canvas board that has a hanging wire attached to the back, so it is not necessary to put it in a frame.
