The variety of stones in the world is truly fascinating, from solid colors to multicolored, smooth or textured, fragile or nearly indestructible! Also, the variety of shapes and styles of beads made from stone is myriad and offers jewelry designers so many options, such as the oval Red Aventurine and Matte Black Onyx beads in this bracelet that feature two horizontally drilled holes rather than just one. The double drill assures that the beads will lie flat and straight next to each other instead of constantly flipping around as worn. They are wonderful for creating impressive cuff bracelets, depending on the stones, accent beads or other top embellishments, and clasps used. I paired the glossy Red Aventurine* with the soft matte Black Onyx and chose Bali sterling spacer beads as a simple accent for them, but also to coordinate with the stunning heart-shaped clasp made of Black Lip Shell and sterling silver. The finished bracelet is unique and strikingly handsome!

*The color of the stones is a little more subtle than the bright orange seen in the photos.
