An explosion of rainbow liquid crystal from a primordial brew.
I became inspired to take the visual imagery from the poem I wrote, also titled “Geomancy,” and create a tangible version. The scan isn't completely accurate, color-wise. The neon colors scanned as faded, notably the light green, the bright yellow, and bright orange(s). The other colors are glittery and/or metallic gel pen.
The Second image here is a cropped scan that shows a different view of top the color. The main image here is to approximate the brightness. The black background is done entirely in fine-point Sharpie. Instead of coloring the main portion of the design with Sharpies, as was my method during this time, I decided to try out some pens that were given to me. The birds are the white of the medium-weight drawing paper.
