Garden top Geraniums Yarn Painting, mixed media art

This yarn art painting is a copy of an oil painting I did many years ago, purchased in Paradise, California; but I don't know where it is now. I created the original from my photograph of 2 potteries with geraniums in a friend's back yard.

This painting is about texture, and creating an impression of the original using yarn as if it were large brush-strokes.

I've long top admired and been fascinated by the Huichol yarn paintings of Mexico. My husband's sister Alice is saving yarn scraps for me, providing an unusual "palette" of colors.

FRAME OPTION:
My husband and I made simple wood frames to offer as an option with these yarn paintings. You are welcome to purchase the art without a frame and get a frame you prefer. A shadow-box frame with glass to protect against dust is a good option.
