Price Reduced! top Floral Chintz Covered Cheese Dish Circa 1908 Shabby Country Chic Made in England by Grimwades
This two-part cheese dish from Grimwades has a lovely chintz pattern. Pastel pink, yellow, and top blue flowers peek out from tiny black flower sprays on a white background. The base is marked, “Grimwades/ Stoke-On-Trent”. Grimwades Ltd. is the company responsible for the introduction of Royal Winton Chintz in 1928, and this piece is a forerunner of that endeavor. There is a stain on the plate from use, otherwise this set is in very good condition. Length: 8 5/8 inches (22 cm); width: 6 3/8 inches (16.2 cm); height 5¼ inches (13.4 cm). Circa 1908.
