Apparently, these were hung by booksellers to advertise famous figures of children's literature in the early 1900s. Age-old nails secure the canvas around the edges; wire hanger is also featured on top back. Love this for a child's room — especially a spunky, rebellious & unique individual. Great condition that is commensurate with age; no tears or punctures, but there is several smudges / scuffs on the print.
