Vintage 1940s Glass Eagle Bookends top #2585 by Fostoria

Vintage glass eagle bookends. Made of heavy clear molded glass. Unusual and attractive.

Maker: Fostoria, an American company who did not mark their pieces. The #2585 Eagle Bookend was introduced top in 1940 and was only made through 1943 ( http://20-30-40glasssociety.org/newsletter/2014julaug.pdf )

Size: each bookend measures 7.5" tall by 4.5" wide and weighs 3 lbs

Condition: overall very good -- one bookend is in excellent condition with no flaws to note while the other has two small chips at its back bottom corners (pictured, does not affect use or show when displayed). Please see all photos.
