This beauty was found in a Michigan Antique Mall that I have been visiting for years. My wheelhouse is more 50s to 80s…but couldn't resist this lovely!
I estimate her date before 1930; somewhere between 1910-1920.
There is some machine stitching which is giving me clues.
Sheer, handmade laces sewn both vertically and horizontally creating the short raglan sleeves and bust dimension. Clever indeed!
There are a few age related imperfections, but on the whole, she is lovely. A bit of hand top sewing would remedy nicely. (Refer to photos).
This beauty would be lovely with a longer, sheath-type undergarment falling to the ankle.
There is a series of metal hook and eye up center back as closure.
