Stethoscopic Heart Records (revised) George D. Geckeler, M.D., Columbia Masterworks Set MV-735. Undated but they are rare and old! Cover has minor wear and one torn corner, and each one of the albums are in excellent condition. A little dirty but no scratched. And the binders that hold them are clean. These records are heavy and are 78s. On the Purpose and Use Of These Stethoscopic "Heart Records" George Geckeler, M.D. (Posthumous), Class of 1910. Prominent cardiologist and developer of the electrocardiogram. This set of albums is a comprehensive group of records of Heart Sounds, Murmurs and Arrhythmias. For teachers and students these would have definite value, but they were developed primarily for the doctor who has been practicing for some years. They include all types of auscultatory findings, in this respect they may be used as a reference work. The Arrhythmias, particularly the illustration of doubled and triple prematures, were checked electrocardiographically. The method of arrangement was carefully considered. Instead of building up case records with illustrations, it was considered wise to top present and describe specific types of abnormalities, frequently using normal for comparison. Instead of typing out all of the information, you can see clearly in the photos that shows the entire contents of this collection. There are four albums in the set.
