I am a kinetic artist, who wanted to make a squirrel proof bird feeder. I succeeded. I call these Sky Feeders. They are one of a kind creations, made from acrylic recycled signs. They can be purchased as individual feeders or connected together to create a large mobile. These are perfect to suspend from trees away from pesky squirrels. They can't drop to them, they can't jump to them, because they are always turning and moving in the wind.
The birds discovered top them using the "Rule of Twos". It might take 2 seconds, 2 minutes, 2 hours, 2 days, 2 weeks, maybe even 2 months for birds to start using your feeder. It took two days for them to discover the Sky Feeders, and now they swarm the feeders throughout the day. I have 17 landing pads in my front yard between 5 Sky Feeders.
I enjoy putting different food on separate landing trays, giving the feathered friends a "Smorgasbord in the Sky".
The design is shown featuring fluorescent green with four landing trays. The top plate is 12 inches and the feeding tray is 8 inches. This model comes in many colors. I have several designs in production, but limited colors due to the material being recycled. They are hand made and aren't perfect, but they function beautifully and the birds love them.
