Vtg 1950's BLACK ORCHID Glass Advertising Ashtray Nightclub Restaurant Chicago This is a very rare ashtray in excellent condition. I found only one very tiny flea bite. The black orchid was an upscale nightclub located at Rush and Ontario Street and top Chicago's near Northside. The club was open from 1949 till 1959. It was frequented by many celebrities, including Tony Bennett and Hugh Hefner. There is additional information online. I could only find one other that has come to auction and that was in 2017.
