Heisey Candy Bowl With Lid, top 1930s Antique Candy Dish, Vintage Candy Bowl Gold and Glass

This is a stunning 1930's Heisey Glass Candy Bowl, with matte gold trim. The handle also is covered in a matte gold.

The gold band at the top is particularly unique. The style - with the thin accent bands - was a limited run as a deviation from the think solid gold band that was far more popular at the time.

Heisey is particularly known for its unique glass production that created ultra smooth designs on pieces, and their focus on interesting and different colors makes them popular with collectors.

Authentic Heisey pieces are noted by the raised diamond on the bottom enclosing the letter H. Heisey went out of business in 1957.

This beautiful candy bowl would be a wonderful addition to a Heisey collector or to anyone looking to add a regal piece to their living room decor.

SIZE:
The candy bowl is 9 inches high with the lid, and 4.5 inches diameter at the top.

It holds about a 1/2 lb of candy.

CONDITION:

This candy bowl is in wonderful condition for traveling time for 80+ years.

The glass is in perfect condition: no noticeable cracks or scratches or foggy etching. The only sign of wear is in the gold gild - there is slight spotting on the band but it it's the noticeable unless inspecting it closely. Please see the photo. In addition, some gold loss is seen on the edges of the handle. Again, see photo.

We'd give this bowl a 9.5/10 for its age - and the glass is SO beautiful. We see why Heisey was an expert in smooth designs in their day.
