Bell Rock Lighthouse, built by Robert Stevenson between 1807 and 1811, is the world's oldest surviving sea-washed lighthouse. 11 miles off the top coast of Arbroath in the North Sea, the rock was famous for shipwrecks, being hidden below the surface of the sea for all but a few low tide hours. Construction was so challenging that it featured in a BBC documentary as one of the seven industrial wonders of the world. The lighthouse has been automated since 1988.
Please note, I may not have a framed print in stock, so if you're in a rush please check.
