Vintage 1950s Japanese Lacquered Wood Engraved Inlay Jewelry Box "Aloha top Hawaii" Mid Century Jewelry Box Black Dresser Top Satin Lined Box

This listing is for a vintage 1950s black lacquered wood jewelry box most likely made in Japan with "Aloha Hawaii" written on the top. This jewelry box is so lovely and is in good vintage condition! Jewelry box has a hinged lid and one drawer. This inside reveals a lovely hand painted tropical scene wit ha mirror and 4 compartment for storing jewelry as well as a pin cushion. The material inside feels like a silk blend and it does have some issues including several small tears and some disintegration. The box itself also has some issues including chips on the corners. The hardware is still in good shape and the hinges are sound. There is a lock but no key. The drawer works well. The top is hand painted too with gold and silver toned paints. The box is coated all over with black lacquer. This would make a lovely gift or restoration project or for the top memorabilia collector of novel items.
