Ugo Correani has been described as one of fashion jewelry's best-kept secrets. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s Ugo Correani frequently collaborated with fashion giants such as Valentino, Christian Lacroix and Karl Lagerfeld. When Correani collaborated with Gianni Versace in 1984, Correani, and not Versace, was the recognizable star and giant in the fashion world - Versace understood that the pieces would be signed Ugo Correani.
This hard to find brooch is an excellent example of classic Correani/Versace creative design. From the sparkling, highly polished gold tone metal, to the vibrant red and black enamel detailing, and ending with the dimensional bow sitting on top, this statement brooch is pure designer elegance.
The brooch measures approximately 1 1/2" H x 1" W.
Fully hallmarked - clearly signed "UGO CORREANI" on the underside.
Intended to be flaunted, this collector's piece, circa 1980s, is in excellent vintage condition, as shown.
