Exquisite and rare top vintage GOTHAM**, Swiss, 10K Rolled Gold, mechanical watch dangle brooch by Ollendorf Watch Company. Working!!
Sometimes referred to as a Nurse Watch or Lapel Watch, these unique timepieces hang upside down or sideways from the pin attachment in order to make it easier for the wearer to see the time.
Total watch brooch measurement is 3" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" deep.
Smooth 10K Rolled Gold metal forms the 1 1/2" diameter x 1/2" deep, dimensional, circular, openwork, Art Deco, Lily floral pin section. Secure rollover clasp.
The 10K Rolled Gold watch case measures 7/8" diameter x 1/4" deep and is attached to the floral brooch by a 3/4" figure 8 connector.
Silver Pearl Pinwheel design dial with separate seconds subdial. Black hour and seconds hands plus black numbers, hour, minute, and seconds markers.
Clear Watch Crystal.
Crown stem winds and sets time easily.
So ART DECO and in fabulous working and cosmetic condition. Of the highest quality and highly collectible.
OLLENDORF was known for its exceptional workmanship and design. See vintage ad in last photo.
Signed on watch and brooch. No scratches to crystal nor damage to metal except for one tiny area on the back of brooch where a previous owner did a gold content scratch test right on top of the 1/20 10K metalmark.
