This is a rectangular-shaped woven metal box style bag from the early 1960s or late 1950s. It is gold and silver woven metal and has a root beer-colored acrylic plastic top and molded acrylic plastic top handle with brass fittings. The clasp is brass, and the interior is lined with gold silk. The maker's name, "Majestic," is embossed in script on the lining of the handbag. The bottom of the handbag is gold metal. This box bag is in excellent condition, inside and out, and shows no wear or warping. There is a very faint mark on the top of the handbag. It's about 1/2 inch in length and is unnoticeable. Dimensions: 9 inches across by 4 inches from top bottom to top by 4 1/8 inches at the sides. The caramel plastic handle has a 4 1/2-inch drop.
I have owned this handbag for many years but have never used it.
