Burmese jadeite, found in Myanmar's jadeite mines, also known as “Burmese Jade”, is much rarer and more valuable from other jade (Nephrite).

Burmese jade is believed to cure pains in the side of the body. It is thought to possess health-strengthening properties and encourage longevity. Green jade calms the nervous system and channels passion in constructive ways. It is said to attract good luck and friendship.

According to legend, jade is a symbol of purity and serenity, signifying wisdom gathered in tranquility. Associated with the heart chakra, it increases love and nurturing. Jade is believed to bring luck. Just like a four-leaf clover is considered a symbol of good fortune, jade is thought to have protective, lucky-charm energy.

Few gems have the mystique of jade, a stone that has been revered in Asia for more than 4000 years. In Asia, jadeite is considered so precious that there is a saying that goes, "gold is valuable while jade is priceless". Strictly speaking, the jadeite they mean is mostly Burmese Jadeite.
