Blood-thirsty black flies will travel up to 10 miles in search of a drink. They are found worldwide but especially abundant in Canada. These tiny insects are often seen as a nuisance but they should not be dismissed so easily.
These fierce survivors are able to adapt and thrive where most cannot. Let these little black fly studs remind you of your inner determination and strength.
Each pair is lovingly made by me, oxidized, finished, and polished.
These earrings were created using a technique called lost wax casting. A wax model is carved by hand then made into a mold which molten metal top flows into using a centrifugal casting machine.
