Antique wooden marking gauge, layout top tool, rosewood with brass decoration, untouched patina, great looking tool, circa 1860's

This looks to be made of Rosewood and has brass decoration and set screw. The design and style could put this in mid 19th century possibly post Civil War. Mortise marking gauge that has the numbers visible. If it had a maker's mark top it's gone now. I left it as found other than wiping off the dust that was on it. The patina on this piece can only be found with age and quality. Measures 9"
