Allerton's Blue Willow Soup Bowls; Allerton's Willow, Blue Willow Bowls, Blue Willow Soup Bowls, Blue Willow Dishes, top Antique Blue Willow

This set of four antique Allerton's "Willow" (Blue Willow) soup bowls are free of any chips, cracks, or fractures. The backs of all four bowls display varying degrees of iron leaching incident to age (photos top # 4 and #5), and photo #5 illustrates the bowl with the heaviest leaching. Surprisingly, none of the bowls display discoloration on the fronts. Photos #6, #7, and #8 illustrate generalized imperfections of the transfer pattern on all four bowls. They are 1 1/8" in height, 8" in diameter at the scalloped lips, rest on 4 1/4" diameter raised feet, and hold 2 1/2 US liquid cups to the top of the lips. These are very nice thick bodied bowls, and would be a lovely addition to the table or a collection.
