Jeanette Glass Puppy Perfume Bottles x top 3; Collectible bottles; vintage jars; pastel lids all original; mid-century; 1950's
Description: Children's Dog-shaped bottles; 1950's era; collectible perfume glass bottles with plastic lids Bottle lids are in three ORIGINAL colors. I can attest that these are original lids - they have been in my possession since I was very young or that of my parents. Others on the Internet show red and black lids - not sure they are original.
These 3 dog-shaped perfume bottles were mine and given to me in the 1950's. I always loved them and sparingly used the perfume and then after it was gone or evaporated I STILL SAVED the bottles. I had them in my room probably even after I graduated from high school. Then Mom packed them away with many other things. There are no chips or cracks except on the yellow capped dog - his left front top foot has a slight chip. The plastic is as good as new on the lids and if I open them and take a deep whiff I can almost imagine their scents of the 50's! Lilac was one of them.
.
These are lovely little glass dog-shaped containers you could decorate a child's room with or even add colored water to highlight their profiles.
THIS SET IS 70 YEARS OLD or even more. I have not seen many that still have ALL THREE OF THE SET - something I believe was called a Pet Shop collection. I can authenticate that these came as a set and are numbered on the bottom and Pat PD. (Two have the number 6 and one has the number 5. I do not know if the caps are on the right numbered bottle as they have been washed several times).
