Vintage Emilio Pucci Ties Post Modern 1970s 1980s Fashion Ties Father's Day Gift

The Emilio Pucci Story, in brief:

Before he designed for icons like Jackie Kennedy and established his signature textiles, Emilio Pucci created his first design, the original one-piece ski suit, for the ski team at Reed College which he attended in the late 1930s. After leaving Italy and his aristocratic roots a series of serendipitous events, including the fact that he had been a member of the 1932 Lake Placid Olympic Italian Ski Team, led him to attend Reed, coach their ski team and design their uniforms.

After World War II he returned to Italy and continued experimenting with stretch fabrics and began applying his talents to women's swimwear. His trademark textile designs were influenced by his affluent childhood in Italy - views of the Mediterranean seascapes and beautiful Sicilian mosaics were part of his daily life and informed his aesthetic. Pucci eventually developed his label into a lifestyle brand, venturing into menswear, dresses, lingerie, linens, handbags, home goods, perfumes and more. Ultimately he mass-produced clothes he designed for himself. When he debuted his collection of ties at Saks Fifth Avenue in the 1970s, he said, “They are not new. I've been wearing clothes like this for years”.

1980s Geometric patterned tie: dark purple, light purple, pale yellow and white
Measurements: 60" length, 3.5" at widest point

All in excellent vintage condition except for a tiny brown spot on the green band of the floral tie (see 8th photo), and a white spot near it on the same tie which appears to be an area that missed coverage during printing.
