Original oil painting by Dutch artist top Dirk Jansen (1878-1952). Dirk Jansen was not a very well known artist, although some of his work can be found in the Kunstmuseum Den Haag. He did not have many expositions which is probably due to the fact that he traveled around a lot. Besides the Netherlands, Belgium and France, he lived in Mozambique, South Africa and Morocco (where he died in 1952).

This is a painting on a thin wood panel. It shows an elderly lady and two young boys, sitting on stone steps leading to the entrance of a house. The elderly lady looks grim but the boys do look a bit mischievous. TThe picture is signed on the bottom right. The painting is in good condition.
