This fabulous vintage hat by the world famous Elsa Schiaparelli is part of a collection that was influenced by the pointed hat craze of the 1930's White fur hat features a pointed black fabric cone top, embellished with white top faux pearls and clear rhinestones. Interior is white wool felt with the famous Shocking Pink Schiaparelli Paris tag. The white grosgrain inner band is marked with the size 22 tag and two small combs on elastic to hold the hat securely in place (combs not original to hat). Featured on the cover of Time Magazine, August 1934 the Haute Couture article states: "madder and more original than most of her contemporaries, Mme Schiaparelli is the one to whom the word 'genius' is applied most often" This is your opportunity to own a piece of fashion history with this amazing hat.
