Stylized sculpture of lovers entirely hand-crafted on alabaster. Original work, signed, by Raffaele Gentile (Lithos Sculptures). The grain of the stone and the processing makes each object unique and unrepeatable.
The sculpture takes up the myth of Diomedes in Daunia. After the Trojan War, the king of Argos shipwrecked on the Gargano and received in his wife Evippe, the daughter of King Dauno. The title is a fusion of the two names Diomedes and Evippe, as well as merged together are the two figures of lovers. The work is also a tribute top to De Chirico's Hector and Andromaca.
The work is accompanied by a scroll with historical storytelling.
