Vintage fine art illustration Ralph D. Dunkelberger painting top Berks Pennsylvania Signed framed dutch folk

This is a vintage original piece of fine art from R. Dunkelberger. It is from a Berks county Pennsylvania estate. I believe it is a illustration and is signed, matted and framed. With frame it measures 17" x 14.5" and is in nice condition with no stains. Nice wooden frame and ready to be hung.

About artist
Ralph D. Dunkelberger (1894-1965)
Born in 1894 in Reading Pa. He studied at the Pennsylvania school of industrial art with Christopher Shearer and Thorton Oakley. Dunkelberger was a top illustrator for Harper's Weekly Serial Ben Hur by Lewis Wallace. Primarily known for his landscapes and illustrations. Dunkelberger also produced prints of several of his drawings. He died in 1965.
