To be manifested is to be chosen. This was one of the leading takes to this project, where images were created with a sense of natural selectivity. As a recurrent theme in my works, this series was inspired by the ways in which the mind can manifest the exchange between the inner and outer cradle of information. Focused on the mystery of the subconscious as the main driver along with the autonomy of each piece. A sense that amidst endless possibilities, a single image emerged as a representation of a moment in time. Every creative choice was taken suggesting a degree of selectivity. While working on these images, there was a deep dialogue with the subconscious mind, liberating me from “anchor thoughts” as the images appear on paper—I like to describe these moments as if I have emerged in different frequencies. I begin to notice that within the creative flow each image represents its own destiny, while freedom helps us to release interpretation. Because of the abstract and expressive nature of this series, I opted to work with a range of mediums and techniques, such as acrylics, gauche, paper collages, graphite pencils, etc.
