Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or marks. Has illustrated endpapers and numerous colour and black and white illustrations (see photos).

The unclipped dust wrapper is clean and bright. Has a few tiny nicks and creases along the top edge and the remains of a price sticker on the inner flap, otherwise superb for a book of this age. It has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
