Lanvin Pretexte was launched in 1937 and discontinued in 1969. It is described as an amber-floral-leathery scent with woody undertones and it was announced as a fresh, provocative, unusual and rich fragrance. Top notes: aldehydes, bergamot and narcissus. Heart: rose, carnation, hawthorn, hay, iris and opoponax.
These bottles measure 6mm by 4cm and contain 20ml of perfume.
They date pre 1970 . They were stored in a cool dark cellar until found.
An inscription at the back of some of the fragrances read " Cet Article Reserve A L'usage Des Salons De Coiffure Ne Peut Etre Vendu " so it was not made available to the public
The bottles are sealed with a Lanvin Seal. Once opened they have to be attached to an atomiser or transferred to a a bottle that can be closed.
