Product code: VTG Ihagee Exakta VX 1000 Camera Carl Zeiss 2/50 Lens East Germany w/ top Manual
Vintage Ihagee Exakta VX 1000 Cameras Carl Zeiss 2/50 Lens East Germany w/ Manual on CD and leather case. Mostly clean; some of the black leather could be reglued; the camera strap is broken one one side and needs a new rivet; leather case could be re-dyed black; looks great! Exakta VX1000 is a 35mm film SLR camera manufactured by Ihagee Kamerawerk Steenbergen & Co, Dresden, former East Germany and produced between 1967-70. An Exakta VX was used by James Stewart's character, a professional photographer, to spy on his possibly murderous neighbor in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. A Kilfitt fern-kilar f/5.6 400mm telephoto lens was used throughout most of the movie. The 35mm film camera was an Exakta VX Ihagee Dresden the Exakta logo was covered by a piece of black material in the movie. The shutter release on classic Exaktas is on the front of the camera, rather than the top. It is pressed with the left forefinger. (INV #27) top.
