top This pendant holds an Ammolite freeform gemstone with no resin coating. The gem itself is very bright, with orange and green tones. and has a nice glittery look due to the fracture lines. The wrap is 14K gold filled wire. The stone measures in at 3.3cm x 3.2cm with a total pendant size of 5.3cm x 3.2cm.
Gold filled wire is more expensive than solid sterling silver wire, due to the high content of gold in it. By law, the bonded surface layer of gold must be one twentieth of the thickness of the wire to be considered gold filled. Therefore, it is next to impossible to wear off as plating often does. Gold filled is a very good alternative to solid gold, as it has the same wearability and visual appearance without the exorbitant cost.
The pendant comes on an 18" gold plated snake chain. Other lengths available on request.
