This copy of "Texas Indian Fighters" by A. J. Sowell is in excellent condition. There is what appears to be sticker residue and slight fading on the bottom back cover (see picture #3). The pages are free from marks, tears and folded corners.

"Texas Indian Fighters" was originally published in 1900. This is a 1986 edition top published by State House Press McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.

Mr. Sowell was a native of the Lone Star State and a Texas Ranger who knew how to use the pen as well as a gun. Mr. Sowell describes in this book Indian fights and the activities of famous Texas Rangers in detail. He took part in the Wichita campaign of 1870-1871 and writes about it with great flair. He interviewed pioneers of the western frontier and presents the reader with over one hundred accounts of these brave men and women.

The book measures 9 1/4" x 6" and has 861 pages.
