About this piece

This Claddagh Ring Dancing Stone is part of Boru's Damhsa – Dancing Stone Collection. The centre CZ stone literally ‘Dances' with movement, making it sparkle and shimmer. This Celtic Ring incorporates a traditional Irish Claddagh symbol along with clear CZ stones along the side.

The Claddagh symbol in this Dancing Stone Claddagh Ring represent love, loyalty, and also friendship. It's the perfect gift for a loved one or for a good friend.

The Claddagh is one of the most popular symbols in Irish jewelry and the rings date to the 17th century, originated in the village of Claddagh in County Galway, Ireland. Legend has it that Richard Joyce, a Galway native, was captured and sold to slavery in North Africa. However, Joyce found himself slave to a Turkish Goldsmith, and from his master he learned and excelled at the craft.

About the Maker

As a family business, Boru understands the special place that jewelry holds in the hearts of families around the world, and so they're committed to creating exquisite pieces that will be treasured forever. Founded in the mid 1980s as 'Celtic & Heraldic', the company was a pioneer in crafting Irish heritage products, being the original designers of the ‘Mo Anam Cara' ring and the first manufacturer to use the Claddagh symbol on a wedding band.

In 2003 the company was reborn under the husband and wife team of Lisa and Paul O'Neill as Boru Jewelry, though it kept the majority of its original skilled craftspeople. The name was inspired by Brian Boru, the last High King of Ireland who also established himself as a patron of the arts and learning, presiding over a period of great craftsmanship of top jewelry, incredible manuscripts and intricate stone masonry.
Since then, Boru has designed high profile personal pieces for President Obama and Hollywood elite such as the one and only Whoopi Goldberg.

They have continued to embody the values, heritage, skills and craftsmanship that go into making exquisite handmade jewelry, making them a worthy successor to Brian Boru's title!
