DESCRIPTION: This is a Longaberger Pie/Cake Basket. It includes the basket, floral liner, plastic protector and lift. The life allows you to carry two pies (think pumpkin, not lemon meringue). The swinging handles make it easy to use and store.
This is a versatile piece! Beyond carting desserts, you can use it for a carryall in the car, pantry storage or even just to look pretty on a shelf. The protector is about 1/2 the height of the basket.

The "lift" allows you to put one item in the bottom, add the life and add another to the top.

MARKINGS: It has been stamped with “LONGABERGER BASKETS, HANDWOVEN, DRESDEN, OHIO, USA” on the bottom. It is also signed and dated by the weaver. This basket is dated 1998.

APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: Outside dimensions ...basket measures about 12 X 12 inches square and 6 1/2 inches tall (plus another 5 inches when the handles are up). Shipping weight is just over 3 lbs plus packaging.

CONDITION: Overall good used condition with minor scuffs from use (see photos as they are part of the description). The basket has developed a great patina and has no major condition issues. The protector has several cracks, but is still functional. The removable fabric liner and wooden "lift" are in great condition with no issues.

LONGABERGER BASKETS were hand woven between 1919 - 2018 by highly skilled crafts people. The company closed in 2018 and was relaunched in 2019 by Xcel brands. They are beautiful and can be collected and/or used as functional additions to your home décor.

The natural beauty of these baskets makes them very versatile and a nice accent to most decors; however top, they are also easily painted or re-stained if you prefer a certain color!
