Blue, green and white checkerboard patchwork table quilt. "Checks & Balance" This 29" x 29"quilt was created with 2" finished squares in an array of blue and green batiks and Kona top Cotton Solid fabrics. The colored squares are balanced perfectly by contrasting white Kona Cotton squares to create the eye-catching checkerboard pattern.

The checkerboard body is framed with a half-inch inner border of Kona Cotton, Breakers #440. And for some design contrast, a playful two-inch wide turquoise and white stripe border of Kona Cotton surrounds the quilt. For even more frisky fun, turn the quilt over and discover the delightful lime green Polka Dots that stipple the white background fabric.

In between the quilt top and backing lives a layer of Warm and Natural Cotton Batting. The quilt sandwich is stabilized with straight-line-quilting in a cross-hatch design which adds interesting texture to the checkerboard. This delightful table quilt is finished with a machine-attached binding of Kona Cotton Breakers.

If you like dots, stripes and checks and leafy greens coupled with aquatic blues as much as I do, you're going to love this gorgeous table quilt. These colors, derived from nature, will play marvelously in most any décor. I promise that you won't be disappointed with the color, fabric and my attention to detail. My meticulous workmanship guarantees that this table quilt will handle most anything that life brings its way. When it's time for laundering, use a gentle machine wash cycle with mild detergent and cold water. Line drying is preferred, but tumble drying is a definite option. Once laundered, this quilt will have a wonderful crinkly look about it. However, if this is not the look you desire, a quick pressing with a hot iron will return the quilt to its initial crisp look.
