We have great horned owls here in the northwest but it's a rare treat to see one. I love how they will sit in plain view but may never be seen. The power of being quiet is underestimated and perhaps even unappreciated in our culture.

I work on white plexi glass and start with the alcohol ink background. The silhouette is then added with black 3D acrylic paint and highlighted metallic paints. Lastly, I glaze with resin, let cure, drill holes and mount it onto a black hard board.
