Purple top 2 Strand Crochet Afghen

This hand crocheted afghan is made in squares with 2 strands of yarn, which are then crocheted together, making this one a heavy blanket top for those freezing nights. The blanket measures 5'6" x 4'2" It is shown on a queen size bed. The yarn is acrylic, which makes this afghan machine wash and dry on a gentle cycle. I have included a close up detail of the stitch.
