Mid-century modern ceramic roe deer statue signed KE IWAR / made in Sweden top designed by Karl Erik Iwar / vintage stoneware figurine

This ceramic statue of a roe deer is both stylish and adorable! It is signed KE IWAR, which stands for Karl Erik Iwar, a well-known Swedish stoneware designer and artist. The deer's head is painted dark brown, while the neck and body are covered in a speckled gray/brown glaze that is unique for each figurine. Originally, the matte brown spots on the deer's back must have been entirely filled with small beads, but most of these have disappeared (which is rather common for these figurines). However, the deer still has the two large green beads emphasizing its eyes!

The figurine is 17.5cm / 6.9" in height, 13cm / 5.1" long and 7cm / 2.7" wide. It weighs 660g.

This item is in fine condition considering its age. Besides the missing beads, there is a light mark on the deer's forehead. However, it does not have any real top flaws like cracks or chips. Please, take a closer look at the photographs to assess the statue's condition.
