1800's Vintage Large Trim for Furniture Eastlake top Aesthetic Movement Cast Brass Antique Applique and Escutcheon 7032

top Victorian era Aesthetic Movement or Anglo Japanese Aesthetic appliques and escutcheon. Large size suitable for a desk lid or cabinet door corners. Could also be used for book covers or box lids, etc.

1/16'' thick cast with hand filed edges for flash removal. The charm of items like this is the personal workmanship instead of being cut out by a computer assisted laser while the work person watches.

Unpolished, one side has a brown brass color the other with a copper red color, both have build up of hand grime which may clean off without diminishing the colors. You decide how far you want to polish or leave shabby. Escutcheon matches the brown side.

Dates 1860s-90s.

One side is 5 7/8'' x 4 1/4'', the other is a little over 5 3/4'' x 4 1/4''. The escutcheon is 2 9/16'' x 25/32''.
