Sperm Whale top with Giant Squid Sculpture #6

This sculpture depicts a deep-sea battle between two leviathans. At least, I think it does. Documentation of these conflicts are hard to come by! It's a marvellous piece, though, with lots of excitment and movement. The top creatures are carved from recycled hardwood, stained, and hand painted. The base is oak. The two long tentacles on the squid are basket fibers. The entire piece was given several coats of clear acrylic. It measures roughly 18" by 9" by 3". This item is shipped in three pieces. You will have to do a little assembly! Although children and pets may find it interesting, it should be enjoyed from out of their reach. Discretely initialed and dated by the artist.
